I'm a Sydney-based First Nations cinematographer, videographer, photographer and Creative Director working across advertising, documentary, branded content and campaigns in Australia.

My work spans cinematography and photography, with a particular focus on stories involving people, community and culture. I work with agencies, brands, government departments and community organisations to create visual work that is considered and authentic.

A significant part of my work has involved working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations across Australia.

These projects have given me a strong understanding of the importance of trust, collaboration and respectful representation when working with people and communities.

This has shaped the way I approach storytelling — with an understanding of cultural context, community engagement and the responsibility that comes with working with people’s stories.

It’s an experience I bring to every production, whether I’m working within the First Nations space or beyond it.

My role often extends beyond cinematography.

I have spent over two decades working both for and within First Nations communications agencies leading the creative development and production of numerous national campaigns — from developing ideas and treatments, through planning and pre-production, to shooting and delivering the finished film.

Working within an agency environment has given me a broad understanding of how creative ideas need to translate into practical productions — balancing creative ambition with people, resources, budgets and timelines.

I value a collaborative approach to filmmaking and believe the best work comes from a clear creative vision shared by everyone involved.

Whether working with an agency on a campaign, a director developing a narrative or documentary piece, or a production team delivering a project under demanding conditions, I bring a calm, considered approach to the process.

I'm equally comfortable contributing creatively in the early stages of a project or working within an established production framework, with a focus on making the process straightforward and delivering work that feels intentional on screen.
